Lucas is a Detroit based band that performs original roots rock and roll music. In this modern day of high tech sounds and attitude, Lucas sticks to its roots by basing its music on integrity and soul. It’s this no flash attitude that strengthens their belief that their music will stand the test of time. It’s as much Blues as it is Country, Americana as it is rock, and Alternative as it is R & B. It’s that back bone rhythm that drives your feet to tap, quickens your pulse, and compels your hands to clap. Their music is of the same foundation that all great bands are from. It’s in their soul, in the air they breathe, and the ground they walk on.

Lucas was founded by its guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Brett Lucas. It’s a continuation of his last project, The Brett Lucas Band, which released a self titled recording of all original music. With the new energy of Lucas they are currently making a mark on the modern club scene, and are grossing audiences far and wide. Lucas is a four piece band that consists of Julian Vanslyke on drums, Chuck Bartels on bass, Ross Westerbur on keyboards and vocal harmonies, and Brett Lucas on guitar/lead vocals. They have sense of authenticity with their approach that is rare to find in today’s world!
